Līču School is an old building with a rich story and soul. Once it was a school where children’s voices and curiosity echoed, later – the property of Maestro Raimonds Pauls, where the legendary “Dzeguzīte” camps took place during summers, full of music, laughter and inspiration.

Today Līču School lives a new life – as a cozy retreat with accommodation, where time flows slower and nature is right next door. Here you can warm up in the hot sauna, watch stars under the open sky, enjoy music on the banks of Salaca, find peace, listen to nightingale songs and surrender to true countryside romance.

The camping is located on the banks of the Salaca River – in a peaceful, natural environment where the river sets the rhythm of the day. It’s a place to stop, take a breath and be closer to nature, away from the rush and city noise. The camping is easily accessible both by car and by water – a one-day paddling distance from Mazsalaca. This makes this place especially suitable for boaters, travelers and everyone who wants to combine active movement with peaceful relaxation. All around – river, forest and open space. There’s no unnecessary bustle here, but there’s space for tents, campfire, conversations and silence. Yes, the camping area has convenient boat landing at the pontoon, which is marked with a “Līču skola” sign — it’s easy to spot, so you shouldn’t paddle past it. If you plan to continue canoeing the next day, boats can be left right there on the shore.
We encourage each group to keep their equipment together in one place to avoid mix-ups. We recommend taking life jackets to your accommodation to keep them dry. Please note that the campsite does not take responsibility for lost or damaged personal belongings.

Yes, several groups of boaters can stay at the campsite simultaneously. The camping meadow and common areas are shared with other guests, so we encourage mutual understanding, friendliness, and respect for others’ rest.

The camping area has shared toilets (outhouses) and drinking water available. Guests who book sauna services or rooms in the school also have access to indoor facilities and a shared shower (in the school).
For waste sorting and disposal, waste containers are placed throughout the area.

Each campfire and tent site has a recommended number of people to ensure a comfortable stay. If you plan to arrive with a larger group or wish to combine several sites, please contact us – together we will find the most suitable and convenient solution.

Yes, pets are welcome. We ask owners to ensure the safety and cleanliness of their pets, and to respect other campsite guests.

Yes, you can, if there are available spots on that particular day. However, to secure your spot, especially during the active season, we recommend making a reservation in advance.

Cars can be parked in the parking area at the edge of the camping territory by the road. If you wish to drive closer to your accommodation, this is possible for an additional fee of €5.

Reservations are made online as a booking request. After receiving it, we confirm it within 3 hours, and only after confirmation is it possible to make online payment.
Reservations can be cancelled no later than 7 days before the reserved date. If cancelled later, no refund will be provided.
